The USKids Venice Open renews its environmental commitment in the 2025 edition.

Past initiatives and those scheduled for the 2025 edition:

  • Sustainability questionnaires
  • Shuttle services for transfer from the hotels to the three golf courses
  • Operation Pollinator project with Millebuche honey (Award GEA 2022)
  • Cultivation of fresh produce in our own organic garden for use in the restaurant.
  • Creation of healthy, sustainable menus with calorie counts and CO₂ emissions listed for each dish.
  • Promotion of local gastronomic products (ham, cheese, wine)
  • 3R Project – Recycle, Reduce, Reuse
  • Plastic-free initiatives (reusable water bottles, water dispensers on the course, plastic cap collection)
  • Agreement with the National Plastic Collection Consortium for the installation of plastic bottle compactors with a rewarding system
  • Fundraising for non-profit organizations
  • Agreement with “Insolito Posto”, an hospitality facility or an accessible and sensitive holiday experience. A place free from physical, sensory and cultural barriers, open to all, where meeting people is the real focus.

  • Fundraising for non-profit organizations (“Isola che C’è” – Association helping children with life-limiting conditions and their families and “Protezione civile” – Fire Protection of the Euganean Hills Regional Park)
  • Repurposed a large part of the installations from previous editions.

New actions:

  • Fundraising in support of a organization dedicated to training guide dogs for the blind.
  • Collaboration with artist Andrea Dalla Costa, who donated one of his paintings, which was used to organize an auction to raise funds for charity.
  • Inclusion of two disabled workers in the golf course maintenance team.
  • Awarding of prizes to participants in the sustainability questionnaires
  • On the eve of the Venice Open, a rare albino mallard was spotted on the Montecchia Golf course and has been adopted as the official mascot of the event.
  • Starting this year, over 80% of sponsors, partners and suppliers are committed to environmental sustainability, a criterion used in their selection.
